11 6 REVEAL™ is a tool that will help our church and its leadership better understand the spiritual pulse and passion of our congregation. It utilizes an honest and anonymous online survey resource developed by the Willow Creek Association to gather feedback from those who make South Point Community Church their home. In the end, the survey will help us make measurable, positive changes as we endeavor to participate in the process of making, teaching and growing disciples. According to the Willow Creek Association site, after five years of studying 280,000 in-depth responses from congregants in 1,200 churches across a wide variety of denominations, they have learned: -Church activity IS NOT a blueprint for spiritual growth. -A person’s love of God and love of others increases along a SPIRITUAL CONTINUUM defined by their relationship with Christ. -KEY CATALYSTS trigger movement along the continuum. -Churches that know how their people stack up against these catalysts have a CLEAR ROADMAP to guide their spiritual growth. -The REVEAL™ MAP process helps you Measure your spiritual reality, take Action on your top priorities, and track Progress in the spiritual lives of your people.REVEAL™ will help our church community be more certain that we are all engaged in the journey toward spiritual growth and Christian maturity.Take the REVEAL Survey

What We Value 1. Relationship: Acts 2:44-47 Personal acceptance and growth is an important factor in the lives of today’s women. One way to encourage this is to allow for opportunities to befriend and support one another. Also, a deep spiritual journey with Christ will help to discover our authentic self, which is created in His image.2. Role Models: Titus 2 Women have a unique and direct mandate from God to help meet the needs of other women. Mentoring efforts of the mature Christian will assist the younger, helping them to achieve their objective and goals. These efforts guide the younger in such a way that God’s principles are maintained in daily decisions. 3. Interpersonal Character: Romans 12:4-8 An effective Women’s ministry invests in the lives of other women by using the gifts and talents entrusted to each by God. It is an outreach to benefit the areas of spiritual, emotional and physical growth. 4. Life Application: II Timothy 2:16 There are a variety of ways to understand and implement Scripture into the lives of women, such as Bible studies, support groups, retreats and social events. Our primary goal is to honor God and give opportunity to enhance and encourage personal relationships with Him.

South Point's Women's Ministry The Significance of Women's Ministry In our contemporary society, you hear terms like "politically correct" or "socially acceptable" that convey whether or not we are culturally up to standard; however, our culture gives us little guidance about self identity, family matters and the issue of authority. Everyday, American women deal with an erosion of values and a decay of morals as we experience life on the fast track. This can cause confusion regarding the role of today's women. Statistics show that forty percent of women in the United States feel trapped, discontent and unfulfilled. Such feelings can lead to disillusionment regarding what might be our true purpose in life. Facts like this show us that there is a serious need for ministry to women in the local church. The Women's Ministry at South Point is designed to assist in finding answers to these and other difficult issues that confront women on a daily basis. At the core you will find a kind of biblical instruction relevant for today, one that we express through gathering for special events, group sessions and retreats. Our aim in these things is to create a variety of ways for reaching and impacting women with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

What Does It Mean To Be A "Real" Man? Does it mean having a body like a Brown's running back? Is it about having the determination to win the Tour de France? Does it mean having the business mind of Microsoft’s Bill Gates? Is it accumulating excessive amounts of knowledge and wisdom? We all have an image in our mind of what being a “real" man is all about. That image comes from our upbringing, our environment and our culture as a whole. The most important question, however, is this: how does that image square with God’s view of manhood? At South Point Community Church, our gatherings for men exist to answer that very question. We are a group of men committed to discovering, modeling and teaching what the Bible says about manhood. Whether it be learning more about Scripture, serving those who are in need or challenging each other in our roles as husbands, fathers or men of character, we are committed to becoming the type of men that point men into a relationship that honors God. Our goal is to develop a community of men dedicated to serving God by serving others. We challenge each other to become men being conformed to the image of Christ--men after God’s own heart--by growing closer in community, taller in leadership, stronger in faithfulness and healthier in service. Just as it says in Proverbs 27:17, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” We invite you to join us on an authentic journey to become real men of Christ!

At South Point we believe that God has given us both the power and the opportunity through the Holy Spirit to share his word to young souls in an age appropriate way. Using games, crafts, puppets, dramas, summer VBS, and creative teaching from biblical stories, we are able to reach young people right where they are in their walk with God. We have seen God at work in our children through the genuine care of teachers, helpers and parents laboring together for the purpose of effectively reaching all ages placed in our care. We are blessed to be part of a team of children’s workers that show integrity and Christ's love to our children with Titus 2:7 as our paradigm: "show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, and sound speech."When you attend any of our services or events with childcare offered, stop by our child registration table in the lobby for more information and a step-by-step walkthrough of the South Point Children’s Ministry experience!

Generation 180Youth GroupWhat a difficult time in which teenagers live! With all of the negative images, add-campaigns and advice that young people receive from movies, music and fellow peers, it is no wonder that Christian teens often feel as if they have nowhere or no one to turn to for counsel on Godly issues. Here at South Point, however, we recognize the need to minister to young people in an honest, yet Biblical way; we, thereby, provide an avenue by which high school students can positively interact with one another, all the while discussing relevant issues they are currently facing in the light of God's Word. Our team of young and passionate leaders understand that reaching the youth of today begins with a personal relationship founded on trust, honesty and interaction with biblical truth. From fundraising events, to Christian festivals, to a wide-range of other social gatherings, the extent of Generation 180 goes far beyond Sunday mornings.Check out our Facebook page to get connected

2:42 GroupsWe live in a highly contagious age. From colds to ideas to attitudes, we proceed in life and frame our worldview in a way that is highly reactionary. Much of what we embrace as people is not cured in the fires of individualism but instead apprehended in the context of community. To sum it all up, we are and forever will be shaped by those with whom we surround ourselves. To put it simply, we catch far more than we create....South Point 2:42 Groups acknowledge that God's original design for his people is to live in unity with Jesus Christ and with one another. Our purpose is to be intentional about engaging others in the pursuit of authentic biblical community as exhibited in the features and characteristics of the early church. We see these characteristics most clearly expressed in the portrait of the church found in Acts 2:42:Apostles' Teaching: We read and apply the Bible togetherFellowship: We pursue authentic relationships togetherBreaking Bread: We remember Christ in our worship togetherPrayer: We pray as believers togetherPursuing these four pillars of 2:42 directs us to our vision of cultivating Christ-likeness by connecting Christ-followers into a Christ-centered community. VisionThe Vision of South Point is to… …“Raise up a biblically functioning, life-giving community of believers, who are committed to the values and cause of Christ’s redemptive purposes in the earth.” MissionThe Mission of South Point is to…“ Point people to Christ and lead them into a growing, personal, and passionate relationship with Him” PurposeThe Purpose of South Point is to “To reach our culture in such a way that it compels, encourages, strengthens and equips all to live a life worthy of the name of Christ.”

Tenets of Faith The sole basis of our belief is the Bible, which is uniquely God-inspired, without error, and the final authority on all matters, which it bears. There is one God, eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - each possessing all the attributes of Deity. God created humans to have fellowship with Him, but they defied God by sinfully going their own way. As a result, we need God's saving grace to end our alienation from God. Salvation comes only through God's saving grace - not human effort - and must be received personally by repentance and faith. Jesus Christ, second person of the Trinity, lived a sinless life on earth and voluntarily paid for our sin by dying on the cross as our substitute. This accomplishes salvation for all who receive grace by trusting in Him alone. He rose from the dead and is the only mediator between us and God. He will return to earth to consummate history. The Holy Spirit draws sinners to Christ and equips believers for personal growth and service to the church. His continual and abiding presence comforts, guides, directs and empowers the life of each follower of Christ. The church's role is to glorify God and serve those in need. At the end, everyone will experience bodily resurrection and the judgment. Those forgiven through Christ will enjoy eternal fellowship with God.

Core Values We believe that the Bible holds the answers to the longing of the human soul and that anointed teaching serves as a catalyst to the transformation process in the lives of individuals and the church today. We believe that lost people have always mattered to God, and therefore, they should matter to the church. We believe that the church should remain culturally relevant while remaining doctrinally pure. We believe that Christ-followers should manifest authenticity and yearn for continuous growth. We believe that a church should operate as a unified community of servants with men and women stewarding their spiritual gifts. We believe that loving relationships should permeate every aspect of church life. We believe that authentic life-change happens best in small groups. We believe that excellence honors God and inspires people. We believe that churches should be led by men and women with leadership gifts. We believe that the pursuit of full devotion to Christ and His cause is normal for every believer.

Welcome! There was a time when people gathered in absolute unity bound by a code of values that seemed bigger than themselves. Each had a story to tell, one that was so important that they were willing to risk it all; reputation, social status, family, even friends. Their message was simple, yet its affect upon mankind has been unparalleled. The scene was first century AD -- the early days of Christianity. At South Point Community Church, our goal is to raise up a congregation committed to living and proclaiming those values and a community dedicated to telling others the Message- "they matter to God more than anything" whether they are single, married, single again, rich, poor, no church background, whatever. He accepts them just as they are. It is with that in mind that we strive each week to present the message of Christ in a unique and compelling way. Whether you are young, or not so young, there is something for everyone to experience at South Point. So if you're just starting to ask questions about God, or are a committed Christian who wants to sink the roots of your faith even deeper, you can find a home here at South Point. We would love to have you become part of this young, growing, and dedicated community of faith.Pastor Douglas Aey--------------------------------------------------
